The Konstantin Chaykin Calavera is one of the most artistic and unconventional interpretations
of contemporary independent watchmaking. Inspired by the famous “calaveras” associated with the
Mexican Día de los Muertos tradition, this model belongs to the celebrated Wristmon collection
created by Russian master watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin.
The dial, composed of twelve different elements, features a stamped radial-wave guilloché finished
in a bright silver tone reminiscent of traditional sugar skull candies.
As with all Wristmon models, the eyes display the hours and minutes through rotating discs, while
the mouth serves as a moonphase display, creating an expressive and instantly recognizable face.
The 42 mm stainless steel case preserves the iconic proportions of the collection, while inside beats
the Konstantin Chaykin K07-0 automatic movement, developed on the reliable ETA 2824 base and enhanced
with the brand’s proprietary display module.
The distinctive “mystery” rotor reveals only the black-coated rear disc, further emphasizing the
theatrical and innovative character of the watch.
Complete with original box and papers, this is a rare and highly collectible example of contemporary
independent haute horlogerie.
