A refined vintage Longines reference 4100, dating to 1939, featuring an elegant Curvex Driver rectangular Staybrite steel case with a distinctive double step construction.

This watch belongs to the “driver” category, conceived for improved readability while driving, and stands out for its uncommon technical architecture. Although powered by the straight Longines calibre 8.68Z manual movement, the case incorporates an internal support structure specifically designed to accommodate the movement within its curved profile.

The double step case design, combined with the characteristic Curvex shape, gives the watch a strong architectural presence typical of the Art Deco period.

The warm-toned dial, with applied Arabic numerals, geometric indexes and a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, completes the composition with balance and elegance.

A correct and coherent example, with matching case and movement numbers, accompanied by a Longines archive extract and its original box. According to Longines archives, the watch was originally delivered to Argentina, further enhancing its historical appeal and collectability.
