A rare and historically significant Omega Marine wristwatch, reference CK 679, produced in 1938,
widely regarded as the brand’s first true diver’s watch.
This model represents a milestone in underwater horology thanks to its innovative patented
double-case construction, designed to ensure water resistance at a time when such capability
was extremely uncommon. The system features an inner case housing the movement, protected by
an outer sealed shell.
Powered by a manual winding calibre 19.4 SOB T2, this example features a stunning original dial
with Arabic numerals and a small seconds subdial, reflecting the functional aesthetic of the 1930s.
Often cited as one of the earliest diver’s watches ever produced by Omega, the Marine CK 679
remains an exceptionally rare and highly collectible timepiece today.
