Very good
This Piaget reference 14101, produced in the 1970s, is a refined example of the maison’s high-end quartz watchmaking. The stepped rectangular 18K yellow gold case, measuring 41 × 34 mm, offers a bold yet elegant presence on the wrist, fully representative of Piaget’s design language of the era.
The champagne dial is distinguished by Roman numerals and a classic chemin de fer minute track, ensuring excellent legibility and visual balance, while dauphine hands complete the timeless aesthetic.
Powering the watch is the renowned Beta 21 quartz calibre, developed by the Centre Electronique Horologer in collaboration with a consortium of leading Swiss manufactures including Patek Philippe, Omega, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines and IWC. At the time of its introduction, the Beta 21 was considered the most accurate quartz movement in the world, with a precision of approximately five seconds per month.
Fitted with a leather strap and signed Piaget buckle, this watch is preserved in very good condition and stands as an important testament to both the technological innovation and refined design of Swiss watchmaking in the 1970s.
