The Tudor Oysterdate Chronograph reference 7149/0, nicknamed “Montecarlo” by collectors due to its
distinctive roulette-inspired dial design, stands among the most iconic and desirable sports chronographs
produced by Tudor during the 1970s.
This example features the highly attractive grey, blue and orange colour combination, preserved in
remarkable condition and perfectly representative of the bold racing aesthetic of the era.
Its robust 40 mm stainless steel Oyster case is fitted with a blue tachymeter bezel and a highly legible
dial with contrasting chronograph registers. The vivid orange chronograph hand and luminous indexes create
a strong visual identity while maintaining excellent functionality and readability.
Powering the watch is the legendary Valjoux 234 manual-winding chronograph movement, a high-beat evolution
of the celebrated Valjoux 23, renowned for its precision, reliability and durable construction.
The watch is fitted with its original Rolex Oyster bracelet reference 7836 featuring a dated clasp, an
especially desirable detail among vintage collectors.
Preserved in excellent condition, this Tudor Montecarlo represents one of the most important and collectible
references in vintage Tudor chronograph production.
