An important Patek Philippe ref. 3970EP in platinum, one of the manufacture’s most representative perpetual calendar chronographs and a direct descendant of the celebrated references 1518 and 2499.

The 36 mm platinum case retains beautifully classical proportions. Its silvered dial features the characteristic layout of the reference, with day and month at 12 o’clock, the 30-minute chronograph counter and leap-year indication at 3, running seconds and 24-hour indication at 9, and analogue date and moon phases at 6 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the celebrated Patek Philippe calibre CH 27-70 Q, a manually wound movement combining a traditional column-wheel chronograph with a perpetual calendar, based on the Lemania 2310 and extensively modified and finished by Patek Philippe.

This example is preserved in excellent condition and comes complete with its original set, including the Patek Philippe presentation box, Certificate of Origin, additional solid platinum case back and related accessories.
