Excellent
An attractive 1971 Rolex GMT-Master reference 1675 in 18K yellow gold, featuring the highly desirable
first-series lacquered brown “Nipple Dial”, one of the most distinctive configurations found on vintage
gold GMT-Master models.
The classic 40 mm Oyster case is complemented by a bidirectional rotating bezel with a brown 24-hour insert.
The lacquered dial displays a rich brown tone, enhanced by gilt lettering and characteristic raised, conical
applied gold hour markers, commonly referred to by collectors as “Nipple” indexes, giving the watch its
unmistakable vintage appearance.
The watch is powered by the Rolex automatic calibre 1575 GMT, a chronometer movement equipped with a
second-time-zone function, allowing the simultaneous reading of two different time zones through its
additional 24-hour hand.
Of particular interest is the 18K yellow-gold Rolex Oyster bracelet with riveted-link construction, fitted
with a Rolex-signed folding clasp bearing the 750 gold hallmark.
This example is preserved in excellent condition, displaying a particularly attractive combination of
first-series lacquered brown dial, matching bezel insert and riveted gold bracelet.
A highly desirable collector’s configuration, perfectly capturing the distinctive elegance and character
of early-1970s gold Rolex GMT-Master watches.
