A rare Rolex Submariner reference 6536-1, produced in 1957 and part of the early “small crown” generation, often associated with the “James Bond” style.

This reference represents a direct evolution of the earliest Submariners (6204 and 6205), retaining the classic 37 mm Oyster case while introducing highly collectible dial variations.

Most notably, this example features the sought-after “red depth” dial, with the depth rating printed in red. As with early pieces of the period, the dial uses radium luminous material, highlighted by the characteristic lighter marker at 6 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the caliber 1030 with “butterfly” rotor, an early automatic solution developed by Rolex and highly appreciated today for its historical relevance.

This model is also linked to the iconic style of James Bond, enhancing its appeal among collectors.

A highly collectible piece, combining red depth dial, radium configuration, and strong historical significance.
